What is Radon?

Radon is a naturally occurring radioactive gas that concentrates inside of a home. This poses obvious threats, including being linked as the #1 cause for lung cancer. Radon mitigation is the process to remove this gas from a home and requires a certified individual to inspect the residence to form an appropriate plan.

Essentially, the way a Radon Mitigation system works is by creating a vacuum under the home, drawing any gases up through a sealed system, and dispelling it outside the house. In homes with a basement, we do this by going through the concrete foundation. In homes with a crawlspace a vapor barrier is installed.
